As technology advances day by day, so does the need for providers to reach out to their patients near and far.
Telemedicine has opened the doors for providers to have the opportunity to do that, but there have been some challenges along the way.
Credentialing has seen it share of this new emerging market of Telemedicine. As the need grows to understand more of how credentialing factors in Telemedicine, we, as Medical Staff Professionals (MSPs), need to be aware of what lies ahead and it implications.
Hospitals, State Medical Licensure Boards, Board Certification Societies, Joint Commission, NCQA and even our beloved CMS all have hurdles to leap in order to open the doors for Telemedicine to become the next level of healthcare.
I challenge you, my MSP Warriors, to learn all that you can about the new frontier of Telemedicine. Together, we can make a difference and help others to understand that it is about Patient Care and Healthcare for ALL!
Thank you
